It is slick, but I think that helps demonstrate the possibilities of AR in a way that's intriguing and, admittedly, inspiring. After all, the sleek visuals in Minority Report helped fuel researchers' interest in building more interactive touch screens, now running at MIT. And coming at AR operations from another angle, here's people gathering in meatspace to augment their digital rendition of reality. http://www.streetwithaview.com/ With this project, people went to their streets in costume to stage scenes like parades and marathons for the Google Street View cameras.
